The vows you actually wrote?

Way too personal to read in front of your mother-in-law.

(You know the ones. The ones that make you cry just writing them. The ones that are embarrassingly, beautifully real.)

Here's the thing nobody told you: you don't have to.

Say the real stuff in the morning, just the two of you, while the mountains are still quiet and nobody's watching. Then bring your people in for the good stuff. The celebration, the happy crying, the champagne, the family photos your loved ones will print and hang in the hallway forever.

That's the day. Now let's build it.

  • Not at all! It’s not about cramming in more stuff. It’s about not putting your day on a stopwatch.

Most couples book 4 to 8 hours, depending on the vibe:

    • 8 hours is time to chill, wander, snack, and let the good stuff happen naturally — and it's the only package that gives you enough space for both a private morning ceremony AND an evening celebration with your people.

    • 6 hours is for when you want room to breathe, but don’t need all day. Perfect middle ground.

    • 4 hours is vows, a couple of rad spots, and space for a few snack breaks and ugly cries. Chill but efficient.

    • 2 hours is short, sweet, and portrait focused. Less time for storytelling, more time for a few posed shots.

You don’t have to turn your elopement into a whole saga (unless you want to, in which case I’m grabbing snacks and settling in).

But if you’re dreaming of a day that feels unhurried, honest, and actually fun? You deserve more than a fast photoshoot and a dash to dinner. (Though if it ends in tacos, I better be invited. For professional reasons.)

  • You’ll get abouttttt 50 to 100 photos per hour of coverage, depending on what all we’re doin’.

I send everything over in a online gallery where you can download, share with loved ones, and even order prints. The best part is you can hide photos from visitors so those mid day jump in the lake in your birthday suit photos = hidden.

  • Editing is one of my favorite and most creative parts of my job so it takes a minute but trust me. Your gallery will be ready in 6 to 8 weeks and it’s soooo worth the wait.

(You also get a few sneak peeks to tide you over while you wait!!!)

  • Elopements are all about doing things your way, including how you pay for it. We can split your payments up into manageable chunks and you can pay with bank transfer orrrr credit card (get those points!).

  • Hell yeah. Colorado let’s you self-solemnize (aka no officiant, no witnesses, no permission slips from the government).

Just you, your person, and your puppy dog if you want.

  • Heck yeah you can have the whole day. If you’re dreaming up a sunrise to sunset kinda elopement (lake dips, midday chill time, golden hour, stargazing) I’m fully in. We’ll build the timeline together so it feels like an adventure and not a photoshoot marathon.

Long days do come with planned breaks (yes, naps and burrito stops are sacred), and no, obvs I’m not clicking the shutter during every single second. Downtime isn’t fully billed, and I’m not lurking while you power nap in the car. It’s all about documenting the real moments while still letting you live them. :)

  • You’re speaking my language. I’m team “chill adventure” over “type 2 fun” so you do not have to hike 10 miles to get good views. I know the spots with the wow factor without needing trekking poles or a hiking bag.

If you are the summit at sunrise kind of crew, I’ve got adventurous photog pals who live for that and I’d love to introduce you. But if you’re here for laid back magic, I’m your gal!

  • We all are. I’m here for everything. The subtle glances. The belly laughs. The quiet silences. We’re making time for your actual dynamic, not forcing you into something you’re not :)

  • Once your booked, you basically unlock your own personal elopement guide (hi!) where I walk you through the fun stuff. Also the not so fun stuff (backup plans, eww). We talk everything from big picture to little details. I obvs help with location scouting, and I also have a full breakdown of Colorado elopement locations if you want to explore options ahead of time.

You’ll also get a custom location list, timeline help, vendor rects, packing tips, activity ideas, you name it. I’m also the type of person you can text at 10 pm like “IS THIS DRESS TOO POOFY FOR WALKING IN THE WOODS?” and I will answer (probably the next morning because I’m old and in bed, but still).

  • THIS IS NOT A DRILL! In Colorado, you can self solemnize so you need no witnesses or officiant and the state allows you to ink stamp your pups paw print onto your marriage license. It’s adorable. And it’s legal in most counties.

We decided to elope less than a week before the big day and Kimberly made everything completely effortless. She was in touch in the days prior location scouting and showing us photos of options around town. She gave me the name of my makeup. I could go on and on... and on, but if you're considering hiring Kimberly, you will not regret it.

Kimberly was a delight to work with. We almost didn't even book a photographer for our elopement/micro wedding, but now that we're seeing all of the amazing pictures and get to look at them every day and remember the perfect weekend, we're so glad we did!

The pictures are gorgeous, the location scouting was perfection, and her communication was top notch. 12/10.

“Kimberly helped us find the most beautiful ceremony location and knows the mountains like the back of her hand! She was the ideal adventure wedding photographer—driving with us up to 12,400 ft on Jones Pass to capture our ceremony on gravel roads. The following morning, we returned for sunrise photos. We couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. Looking through them brings the day right back to life. We can’t recommend working with Kimberly enough!”

This is my actual wedding day — private vows at sunrise, family celebration in the evening.

And This is exactly what I help couples build.

  • 04:00 AM

Wake up! Sit on the floor while your hair and makeup artist makes you feel pretty and pumps you up for the day. Don't worry, your partner has already made the coffee and the truck is packed and ready to go. Don’t worry about getting dressed yet and opt to hang out in your warm sweatpants.

  • 05:00 AM

Leave the cabin to head up a 4WD road to an overlook. Get dressed in your wedding clothes on opposite sides of the car while your dog runs around off leash. Have a first look with each other in your wedding clothes just as the sun crests the mountains. Read your vows to each other privately.

  • 07:30 AM

Leave your ceremony site that you got all to yourselves because you woke up for sunrise and no one else is awake yet. Head down to an alpine lake where you make pancakes in the back of the truck. Debate stripping to your birthday suits to run into the alpine lake. Hang out, run around with your dog, tell your partner how much you love them. Be playful.

  • 9:00 AM

Head back to your cabin in awe that you got naked and swam in an alpine lake at 8:00 am.

  • 10:00 AM

Arrive back at cabin. Spend a few hours napping, eating, or doing whatever else you want because it's your wedding day!!! and you get to call the shots. Photographer goes for a nap.

  • 03:00 PM

Photographer meets back up with you for a late lunch or dinner. Pizza on the porch, order takeout, rent a restaurant out, eat leftovers, hire a private chef, cook together, have a picnic, set up a full table in the backcountry. The options are endless.‍

  • 04:00 PM

Get ready (again!) but this time with family. Have a first look with your family. You can do a fun activity with your partner like give each other tattoos, Facetime grandma, grab a drink at the local dive bar, etc. Then you and your two immediate families hop in your old '87 chevy and head up an easy 4WD road.‍ Laugh at how bouncy everyone is in the suburban because there are no springs in the seat.

  • 05:00 PM

Read more traditional vows in front of your immediate family so they are included. Followed up by group/family photos, lots of cake, champagne toast, and whatever else your heart desires.

  • 07:00 PM

End the evening with sunset photos amongst the wildflowers and alpine glow. Head home to play board games with your family (may I recommend Mexican Dominos or the ol’ classic Cards Against Humanity). Eat all of the ice cream and cake.
