Zoë + Brannan | Colorado National Monument Adventurous Couple Session

A few weeks ago Zoë reached out to me through instagram about photographing her and her boyfriend, here in Grand Junction! We chatted for a few weeks before we initially met up outside of the city where she helped me with some product shots I had to wrap up! We chatted about how her and Brannan met and their recent travels and busy schedule to keep up with Brannans work that takes him all over!

Zoë + Brannan

Zoë and Brannan originally wanted some greenery in their location, but with the Grand Mesa being buried under 16 feet of snow, we ended up doing an in-home session in their adorable house downtown, and then made our way over to adventure around Colorado National Monument!

Being late February, we were all a little curious about what the weather would be like. While I’m definitely a fan of inclement weather, it was nice to have a typical Grand Valley spring day; it was around 50 degrees and a lot of the snow from the previous weeks had already melted off!

Kimberly Crist

Hi, I'm Kimberly 👋

Colorado elopement photographer, snack enthusiast, and your personal hype woman for ditching the traditional wedding entirely.

I spend most of my time wandering dirt roads around Crested Butte, the San Juans, and Denver finding the kind of spots that make you forget what stress even feels like. You know — the ones with the views that hit different at sunrise, where the wildflowers are doing too much, and the only witnesses are a couple of marmots and your dog in a tiny bandana.

If you're dreaming of vows somewhere wildly beautiful with zero seating charts involved, hi. That's literally what I do. You bring the love story. I'll bring the camera, the location ideas, and enough snacks to get us through golden hour.
