The most incredible time to elope on the western slope and in the Colorado desert, is during sunrise.
While the temperatures are typically in the high 90’s to 100’s with full sun, sunrise is just something to behold in the summer. It’s this perfect part of the morning where the sun is still tucked behind the book cliffs, you can spot the moon anywhere in the sky, and the area is still and private.
It made the perfect backdrop for these two to get dressed under the moon, say their vows with their family, have their children sign as witnesses on their marriage license, and eat cake at 6 am. Heck yes, cake at 6 am.
A two part elopement day that started with vows at Lost Gulch Overlook in Boulder and ended with a hike to a still snowy Dream Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park.
